I have 6 Table Top Fountains. At my old house I ran them almost every day. I have since moved and kept them pack for the last year because I have been SO busy I have not been able to decorate. I notice that there are serious deposits from water in the bottom of them. I really want to remove them. I have looked online and found many people recommend vinegar or CLR for these types of things.

My concern is there is rubber tubing that carries the water and there is also deposits in them. I want something that I can run through the fountains to make sure all the deposits are out of all the areas. I am afraid both CLR and vinegar will eat through the tubing. I did read the instruction manuals for them all and found no help.

Does anyone know what I should use?

you can run vinegar through without damaging the tubing. CLR will react with aluminum (the pump??) but shouldn't harm the tubing. Do not use Bleach products as bleach will dry the rubber causing eventual failure.

I am planning to divide the TV room with my dining room with a glass waterfall. The home is being completely remodeled so I am very flexible regarding any hoses or pumps that need to be fitted. on the bottom there is a reservoir for this fountain. A glass wall is placed in the middle of this reservoir. I have created a 5inch border on the top in order to hide any hoses that need to be fitted there. I would like the water to come down on both sides of this glass. I currently have no idea what to connect the pump to. The water will be directed to the top of the fountain but I cant figure out what to put on the top to direct the water to both sides of the glass.

I would rig up something simular to that of a gable shaped object, drop the water return on the ridge of the gable let it flow to each side, or if you have two return pipes, make lead to each side and run them sort of independently. Its all i could think of hope it helps.
